Julia Morgan Legacy Society
Leaving a gift to the Riverside Art Museum (RAM) through an estate plan does more than support its mission of promoting an appreciation of the arts ; it sets up a lasting legacy of the donor’s personal values that can be passed on to future generations.
RAM appreciates the decisions that go into leaving a bequest through a will or trust* and wants to honor those donors whose commitment and generosity provide a secure foundation for the cultural enrichment of future generations.
The Julia Morgan Legacy Society has been established specifically to honor these donors. The Legacy Society provides an opportunity for RAM to personally and publically acknowledge these individuals and to celebrate their lives and philanthropic ideals.
*A bequest to RAM is made by adding a simple provision in your will or trust naming the Riverside Art Museum, 3425 Mission Inn Avenue, Riverside, CA 92501 as a beneficiary to receive a percentage or specified gift amount from your estate.
MEMBERSHIP
Legacy gifts can provide long-term financial support to RAM and they can assist donors in planning their estates by providing asset protection for their heirs. The Legacy Society is open to individuals who have made a deferred gift of $25,000 or more to RAM. Outright gifts of cash to RAM’s endowment fund also qualify. Membership is extended when RAM is notified in writing that such a gift has been established. Gifts may be cash or equities, life insurance, retirement plan assets, or a charitable trust. The donor may choose to be an active participant in Legacy Society functions, or may be a silent or anonymous member.
To recognize Julia Morgan Legacy Society members for their lasting gift, the Museum offers these benefits:
- Unlimited lifetime admission to the Museum for you and your immediate family
- Complimentary gallery, atrium/lobby, or rooftop rental (1 per year)
- Curator consultation for your personal art collection
- Champagne Curatorial Tour for your group of six
- Complimentary private Art Party (1 per year)
- Julia Morgan Society Reception (10 tickets)
- Copy of Julia Morgan, Architect
- Profile in Artifacts newsletter
- Invitations to exclusive Artist Circle members-only openings and receptions (minimum 2 per year)
- Recognition on Artist Circle plaque
- Guest passes for friends and family (50 per year)
- 50% discount on all Museum Store purchases
- Complimentary Education Programs or art classes (Youth and Adult, 2 per year)
- Naming opportunities
- Reciprocal member privileges at more than 300 participating museums in the U.S. and Canada through North American Reciprocal Museum member institutions NARM List
- Recognition as a Julia Morgan Legacy Society member on commemorative plaque and in Artifacts newsletter
