Docent Information
RAM is looking for committed volunteers and docents. Volunteers and docents participate in a variety of educational programming such as leading tours, welcoming visitors, supporting staff, hosting special events and assisting with hands-on art projects. The museum is currently in the process of developing a docent program. In addition to greeting visitors and supporting a welcoming atmosphere, docents will be trained to serve as educators and interpreters. They will be responsible for answering questions about the content of exhibits, as well as about the building as a whole. Docents will be an essential resource for the public, offering visitors a greater understanding of the content of the exhibits and the general nature of the Riverside Art Museum. Good docents are enthusiastic, flexible and enjoy public speaking.
