Learn the basics of bookmaking and how to bind hardcover books using the Two Needle Coptic Stitch. You will take home two books, one remade from a vintage book and one of your very own design. This is a beautiful, exposed-spine bookbinding technique that lends itself to creativity. Bookbinding basics will be covered, including what tools you need to make your own books at home. You will make two blank books with high quality pages that can be used as sketch books, journals, or guest books. For one book, you will repurpose a lovely vintage or antique book of your choice. You will create another book using gorgeous papers from around the world.
