Monothon

From 1995 through 2007, the Riverside Art Museum (RAM) sponsored the Monothon. Originally developed at the College of Santa Fe, New Mexico, the Monothon connected local printmakers and artists with master printers during a marathon print workshop to create new work, some of which became part of the museum’s permanent collection.

In Memoriam: Roland Reiss

Printmaker Roland Reiss participated in RAM’s Monothon back in 2005.
We join the art world in mourning the loss of Reiss in December of 2020.
Reiss led the Claremont Graduate University’s Art Department from 1971 to 2001, mentoring generations of students in a groundbreaking program. He maintained an extraordinarily successful 60-year career, exhibited extensively, and his work is found in major museums and private collections including The Whitney Museum of American Art, LACMA, and MOCA. Reiss is survived by his wife of 20 years, the artist Dawn Arrowsmith.
