The Council for Art Education (CFAE) administers Youth Art Month (YAM) at the national level. Youth Art Month emphasizes the value of art education for all children, encourages support for quality school art programs, and promotes art material safety. Art shows, special exhibits, fundraisers, and school and community activities take place annually, traditionally during March, to celebrate visual art education for grades K–12th.

The California Art Education Association (CAEA) coordinates the YAM art shows in the CAEA regions. Showcased here is artwork submitted from the Southern California Area region.

Usually, the artwork would be exhibited at the Riverside Art Museum. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year, the exhibition is virtual.
