Escape the mundane and come celebrate Baby Tattooville’s fifth anniversary exhibition in Riverside! The world-renowned artists from each of the previous four years are back at RAM for an eclectic selection of contemporary alternative art. An eccentric atmosphere of Pop-Surrealist, Lowbrow, Fantasy, and other strange, fun, and hard-to-define sub-genres, Baby Tattooville on Parade is comprised of a wide repertoire of artists who derive inspiration from such sources as: Comic book/ graphic novel art, Street Art, Hot Rod culture, Pop Art, and psychedelia, to name a few. The Baby Tattoo clan includes such artists as: Jeff Soto, Amy Sol, James Gurney, Anthony Ausgang, Shag, Coop, Van Arno, Robert Williams, and dozens more. Meet selected artists and the founder of Baby Tattoo, Bob Self, on Saturday, October 8th at the Opening Reception. RAM Members will be admitted free of charge to meet the artists at the Preview Reception from 7-8 p.m. The general public reception will be held from 8-10 p.m., admission is $5 for non-members. Also join us for more FREE Baby Tattooville activities on the October 6 and November 3 Downtown Riverside Arts Walks from 6 – 9 pm. October and November Arts Walk programming will include artists’ talks and a Q & A panel, as well as collaborative ‘Art Jam’ activities – stay tuned for more details to come!
