Do you have a New Year’s resolution to be creative? To improve your art skills? Then join The 52 Project today! Inspired by Sue Mitchell’s commitment to 52 weeks of art making and her resulting exhibition, the formation of this group is for creative people to find inspiration and motivation from one another while participating in a 52-week self-directed creative project.
The goal is to help you become more disciplined in thinking about and capturing your creative ideas and to move you closer to being a more active participant in your artistic/creative field. Phase Two is optional; it is for those of you that feel a creative idea developing along the way—a short story, dance piece, one-act play, art exhibit, etc. Learn how to write proposals and select a variety of projects for exhibitions/performances to be held at RAM.
So, if you write poetry, books, or screenplays; make films, clothes, jewelry, or jelly; paint, or draw; or create prints or photographs—you need to take this journey.
The annual fee is $152 for non-members and $92 for RAM members.
Benefits include both The 52 Project (and RAM Individual memberships for those who are not already members of the museum), and a series of workshops on getting started, what to do with your ideas, the business of art, and a “sharing session” at the end of the year-long journey. You’ll also get 10% off all other RAM classes, as well as invitations to curatorial tours, artist demos, and more.
Sign up today or give this gift to the creative people in your life who you would like to encourage.
