Plein-Air Artists of Riverside - upcoming events
Many RAM patrons may be familiar with the Plein Air Artists of Riverside, but if not, here’s the info:
Plein Air Artists of Riverside (PAAR) is a professional group that offers beginner-friendly year-round opportunities for Plein Air Artists to meet and paint. PAAR has two paint outings each month, coordinates quarterly demonstrations by well known Plein Air artists, coordinates and presents exhibitions each year, and holds an annual 9-day Paint Out with an exhibition at RAM.

Steven Ruiz

Steven Ruiz was born in Los Angeles, California of Native American and Mexican descent. He was raised in a family of artists including musicians and painters. As long as Steven can remember, he has always wanted to be an artist. His landscapes, music paintings, and wood sculptures are in notable corporate and private collections. Steven Ruiz is an accomplished plein air painter. He resides in both the Joshua Tree Arts community, and the Arts Colony of Pomona. Steven is married to Cory Griffin-Ruiz and they have a daughter Sienna Rain Ruiz. Collectively they opened “The Blue Core Gallery,” which features The Blue Core Group: Cory Griffin-Ruiz, Manny LeGaspe, Cathy Garcia, Armando Peralta and Steven Ruiz. Their art receptions are the 2nd Saturday of each month during the Pomona Arts Colony Artwalks. Steven is donating a piece of art for an opportunity drawing ($1 for one ticket, $5 for eight, and $20 for an arms-length (from one hand to the other). Learn more about Steven Ruiz at his blog.

Free for all PAAR members
$5 admission for non-PAAR members (applicable to the $30 fee to join PAAR).
PAAR members must also be members of Riverside Art Museum.
We will accept membership fees for both RAM and PAAR at the door.
