PNET - Printmakers Network
The Printmakers Network (PNET) is a networking group serving printmakers across the Inland Empire. It works to promote and educate people about printmaking, give support to printmakers, increase educational and exhibition opportunities for printmakers, and to provide a venue to share artwork, techniques, and upcoming show information. Monthly meetings feature demonstrations, printing challenges, sharing and discussion of participants' artwork, and even a chance to get your hands dirty while printing. Demonstrations have been given by Denise Kramer, Chick Curtis, Michael Bernbaum, and Mary Grinyer.
Look for more demonstrations and workshops in the future. Beginners, professional printmakers, and printing enthusiasts are welcome.
PNET members often print during Arts Walk on the first Thursday of the month from 6-8 p.m. in cooperation with the Riverside Art Museum (RAM). The public can gain a new appreciation of the medium and printers gain a chance to explain techniques, answer questions, and show the work produced.
PNET monthly meetings are held at RAM in the Printmaking studio. Membership in the group is open to all members of RAM who pay to become a PNET member. The current fee is $20 per year, paid through RAM.
To become a member, download the application and mail it into RAM. You may also call the museum at 951.684.7111 or stop by the front desk.
